Disclosure:
Starting in January 2017, we are working to monetize Amy Burns the Recipe Book. This means that we are actively pursuing revenue streams from advertisements, affiliate links, sponsorships, direct sales, etc, and that we may ask for your email address or utilize tracking software as disclosed below. At no time will we ever sell your information or otherwise provide it to third parties. We are currently using the following tracking software:
- Google Analytics: We are currently using the standard Google Analytics implementation. Using Google Analytics, we collect information including pages viewed, viewing duration, browser used, and location, all in an attempt to provide a better user experience. If you would like to opt-out of the Google Analytics features that we use, you can do so via Ads Settings, Ad Settings for mobile apps, the NAI’s consumer opt-out, or Google Analytics’ currently available opt-outs for the web.
Advertisements:
Our understanding is that we will not have complete control over advertisements seen by our viewers, but we will take every action possible to ensure that those advertisements meet our standards and are of interest to our viewers. If you see a completely vulgar advertisement (like a processed food ad), please let us know and we’ll try to do something about it. We are currently using the following advertising programs:
- Google Adsense: Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. At times, the cookies of other third-party vendors or ad networks may also be used to serve ads on our site. You can visit those websites to opt out of the use of cookies for personalized advertising (if the vendor or ad network offers this capability). Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ uses of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
Affiliate Links:
Throughout the website, we will list external links to affiliate partners for various products and services. Those links will take you to third party websites which have their own terms & conditions and privacy policies that you should check out. If you click on one of those links, go to the third party site, and then buy something, we get a little kickback. However, there is no increase in the price to you for the product or service that you buy. We promise that any affiliate links are for products or services that we use and support and that we believe will be beneficial for you in the kitchen or other usage like blogging. We are grateful to be a part of the following affiliate programs:
- Amazon: We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
- Feast Design Co: We are a participant in the Feast Design Co Affiliate Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to feastdesignco.com.
- ShareASale: We are a participant in the ShareASale Affiliate Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to studiopress.com.
Sponsorships:
There are a lot of products that we use and love, and it sure would be nice if we were compensated for plugging them on our site in a sponsored post. We promise that any sponsored posts will be fully disclosed but that the sponsorship will in no way affect our viewpoints or opinions disclosed on the site. Sorry, we love our readers and won’t recommend a product or service for them if we don’t love it too.
